Our Orientation
Process

Community Interactions provides comprehensive training for all New hires.  This training totals approximately 80 hours, and includes CPR/1st Aid, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety, Medication Administration, Introduction to Developmental Disabilities, MANDT/Positive Approaches, WRAP, Management and Leadership training, NADD and other curriculum designed to successfully introduce New Hires to the CI Family and work with persons with Developmental Disabilities.

New Hires must complete the initial Orientation process within 3 weeks of starting to continue employment.  Upon successful completion of the initial orientation, New Hires receive an on-site orientation at their new work location to ensure they have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the supported individuals and program prior to working alone.

“I enjoy what I’m doing at CI, so it doesn’t feel like work—it feels more like family.”
