Neighborhood Group Homes (NGH)

Neighborhood homes are specifically designed for five or fewer people living in a community setting.  Licensed by the Division of Long Term Care in the state of Delaware, staffing for each home is based on the individual core levels, each person’s Essential Life Plan and the combined needs of the home as a whole.

Developing and maintain skills and engaging in the activities of daily living, such as eating, dressing, grooming, banking and money management, meal preparation and housekeeping are at the center of individual routines.

Coordinating the wide variety of therapeutic services for consumers completes the circle for well-rounded lifestyles for individuals living at CI.  Depending on their needs, these services may include nursing, behavioral supports, occupational training, speech/adaptive communication and other therapies, as needed.

Staffing is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Because of the availability of qualified staff, residents of our Neighborhood Homes participate in the range of activities pursuant to well-rounded lifestyles including:  physical activity, outdoor activity, volunteerism, faith-based activities and work in the community.
